The exhibition From a Sketch to a Puppet at the Bežigrad Gallery 1 is presenting the works of the artist Agata Freyer, who shared a few memories of her first contacts with puppets. “I first encountered the magic of puppets, naturally, as a child. I was lucky that these wonderful, magical puppet shows were being created at the time, especially the marionette shows on the Levstnik Square in Ljubljana, in that small marionette theatre. My generation, especially those children living in Ljubljana, was gifted with these wonderful marionette shows, directed mostly by Jože Pengov.”
