CC Tobačna 001 is presenting its 2018 Programme

The CC Tobačna 001 is entering the new year with the exhibition project "Adagio for Space", by the Israeli artist Moran Victoria Sabbag. The gallery’s programme will continue with solo art projects. During the first six months of the year, we will present the Bulgarian artist Kamen Stoyanov. His work focuses on the questions of identity, migration, historical definitions and on topical issues regarding social and cultural development. After him will be Slovenian artist Boris Beja, who uses art mediums to create connections among various contents, with a strong emphasis on social criticism.

Following them will be the exhibition of Nikita Kadan, a Ukrainian artist who often exposes exhibition visitors to the manipulations of history that take place inside the contemporary political and cultural discourses. In the latter half of 2018, Nika Autor will be presented with a solo exhibition. The public knows her through her socially charged themes, and interweaving archival images with the present day. After her, the CC Tobačna 001 will host Fokus Grupa, a Croatian artist collective, who use texts, objects and images in their work, combining them into installations and interventions. The residency centre will also host two artists from Israel and London, which is a result of residency exchange programmes with the Israeli Center for Digital Art Holon and the Tottenham Hale International Studios in London.
