A retrospective exhibition of Tomislav Gotovac, the renowned Croatian neo-conceptualist who passed away seven years ago, will present an overview of his six-decade long artistic practice and a comprehensive view into his prolific production. The exhibition will be a collaboration with the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rijeka, Croatia. The exhibition Better Doggy Style Than No Style, which the City Art Gallery of Ljubljana in 2016, spurred a lively debate on the Internet regarding ignored contributions of women painters in gallery programmes. Our answer will be a group exhibition in June, which will focus on those Slovenian women artists that are just entering the field of contemporary visual forms as well as on those who have already established themselves on both local and international levels through exhibitions and with deliberate and continuous efforts. In the latter half of 2018, the programme scheme of the gallery will first focus on the solo exhibition of Tadej Pogačar titled CODE:RED, which will be an overview of the long-term and still on-going project that deals with selected segments of prostitution, exploitation of workers and sex work as specifically parallel, so-called grey, economies. The year will end with a solo exhibition of Drago Tršar, who is undoubtedly one of the prime sculptural and artistic authorities in our cultural space.
