Between the 16th and 30th May 2022, the square in front of Plečnik’s Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Our Lord in Prague’s district of Vinohrady is hosting the exhibition Plečnik’s Unrealised Projects for Ljubljana, which was on view at the Plečnik House in 2019.

The exhibition unveils how the Slovenian capital would look if Plečnik realised his visions for four great projects for Ljubljana: New Town Hall, Butchers’ Bridge, the national assembly on the Castle Hill, and the Cathedral of Freedom in Tivoli Park.

The highlight of the exhibition are the 3D renders, visualisations of selected Plečnik’s unrealised architectural projects, which we prepared for the exhibition in collaboration with the architect Nejc Bernik from the ZRC SAZU France Stele Institute of Art History. The catalogue accompanying the 2019 exhibition is available for purchase at the museum shop of the Plečnik House.
